When is it there?

Pick a place, a date and a time. We convert that local moment to your time — with the full date, so you do not lose track of the day across the date line.

Quick dates

Why convert a specific moment, not just the time difference?

The current time difference tells you what time it is there right now. This tool answers a different question: when it is Friday 00:00 there, what day and time is it for you? That matters for birthdays, calls, Christmas and New Year — especially when daylight saving time sits between now and then.

We always use the IANA time zone of the place (for example Australia/Sydney), never a fixed “+10 hours”. Half-hour and 45-minute offsets are handled automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Why should I pick a city, not a country?
Countries such as Australia, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Russia and Mexico span several time zones. A city maps to one IANA time zone, so the conversion stays correct.
Does daylight saving time matter?
Yes. We convert the chosen local date and time in that time zone, including whatever offset applies on that day — not the offset that happens to apply today.
Why do you always show the weekday and date?
Across the date line, Friday evening there can be Thursday afternoon for you. Showing only a clock time would hide that.
