The other side of the world
The point directly opposite Seychelles on Earth is in the Pacific Ocean. Based on its longitude, the local solar time there is now . At that point it is currently daytime. That point is exactly on the other side of the Earth: 4.6° N, 124.3° W.
On the open sea there is not always an official local time zone. We therefore use local solar time based on longitude.
Seasons
In Seychelles the difference between the longest and shortest day is only about 32 minutes. The longest day falls around 14 December.
