The other side of the world
The point directly opposite Costa Rica on Earth is in the Indian Ocean. Based on its longitude, the local solar time there is now . At that point it is currently night. That point is exactly on the other side of the Earth: 10.0° S, 96.0° E.
On the open sea there is not always an official local time zone. We therefore use local solar time based on longitude.
